Coarse pores

What are coarse pores?

Enlarged pores are a common skin condition in which the pores of the skin are larger and more visible than normal. It usually occurs on the nose, cheeks, forehead and chin, and can contribute to uneven skin texture and a dull appearance of the skin.

Pore size is largely determined by genetics and skin type, but can also be influenced by factors such as age, sun exposure, smoking, poor skin care, and buildup of dead skin cells and sebum.

Reducing the size of the pores can be difficult, but there are several measures that can be taken, such as:

  1. Use of exfoliating products: Exfoliating the skin regularly can help remove dead skin cells and excess sebum and unclog pores.
  2. Skin cleansing: Regular skin cleansing can help remove excess sebum and dirt and unclog pores.
  3. Using Retinoids: Retinoids are derived from Vitamin A and can help renew the skin and reduce the size of pores.
  4. Use of toners: Toners can help shrink pores and soothe the skin.
  5. Sun protection: Sun exposure can damage the skin and increase the size of the pores, so it's important to protect the skin with a sunscreen with a high SPF.
